You're invited!
Come along to the Kelpies Canter on Saturday 14 September 2024 with friends and family for a fun-filled 5km sponsored walk for Christian Aid.
Registration opens at 10am and the walk will start at 10.30am at The Great Lawn, Helix Park, Falkirk. Please ensure you have signed out at the Great Lawn by 12.30pm.
The route will consist of a 5k walk around the Kelpies, where you will get to learn more about the Helix Park! Don't worry about getting lost, stewards will be available to point you in the right direction.
Toilets are available at the Visitor’s Centre along the route. Please bring your own drinks and refreshments and dispose of litter appropriately.
It's also advised that you wear suitable footwear and clothes for your own comfort and safety.
Please aim to car share where possible and use the postcode FK2 7ZT to get to the Helix Park. If possible, use the free carpark on the left as you enter; the larger carpark nearer the Kelpies charges for a 3-hour stay. Do not park on the roads nearby – they are urban clearways.
Alternatively, there is the option to catch a bus to Falkirk Stadium from Falkirk Town Centre and walk from there to the park.
Please also make sure you are physically fit enough to participate. Christian Aid cannot be held responsible for accidents, injury or loss of property that may occur during the event.
How to raise your sponsorship money
By taking part in the Kelpies Canter, you can help end poverty in some of the world’s poorest communities.
- Set up a JustGiving page. Visit the Christian Aid JustGiving page and search ‘Kelpies Canter’. Don’t forget to share it with friends and family!
- Use a sponsor form available from your Christian Aid Representative and ask your friends and family to sponsor you.
- Ask your sponsors to GiftAid their donations, if they are a UK taxpayer, and increase your sponsorship by 25% - at no extra cost to them.
- Please note: No sponsorship money or donations will be collected at the event. All money should be handed to your Christian Aid Rep for banking.
We believe that everyone should lead a full life, free from poverty. Together we can fight against poverty one step at a time.
