Dear XXX MP

I write to you as your constituent with concern for the thousands now starving in Gaza.

This week, we joined people of faith across the UK in making a red line for Gaza at [your church name].

Our line represents the many red lines crossed by the Israeli government and military – such as using starvation as a weapon of war and targeting hospitals and schools.

After nearly 2 years of Israeli military bombardment, Palestinians are burying their children who are dying from hunger.

The UK’s actions are insufficient and render it complicit in Israeli atrocities. As the Very Revd Canon Richard Sewell, Dean of St George’s College, Jerusalem, says “It’s time for action, not talking and there’s no time to lose. Those in our world who have the power to stop this famine and end the conflict must do it now."

The UK must urgently step up to help stem the suffering, challenge Israeli impunity and support a just peace for both Palestinians and Israelis.

I ask you to call on Foreign Secretary and Business Secretary to:

  • Ban all UK arms sales to Israel.
  • Suspend the existing UK-Israel Trade Agreement.
  • Ban UK trade with Israeli settlements.
  • Push to end the aid blockade of Gaza.

Yours sincerely,
