Anne's motivation

Anne has always been a passionate supporter of Christian Aid. When her church's fundraising team brainstormed unique ways to raise funds, Anne bravely volunteered to take the plunge.

When asked about why she chose to take the leap, Anne shared: 'Christian Aid is a wonderful charity working tirelessly to help communities in the poorest countries around the world with things we take for granted. On setting up our new team of Christian Aid reps at St Mary’s, we tried to think of something out of the ordinary to raise funds, and I found myself volunteering to do a skydive.'

On 11 July, Anne did just that, and to date her leap of faith has raised £1,125 for those in need.

It was a beautiful sunny day with only a few wispy clouds in the sky. The free fall was terrifying but once the parachute opened it was an exhilarating experience.
