Global conflicts, climate emergencies and disasters can shatter communities – but the Church has a powerful role to play. Through Christian Aid, churches are helping save lives and rebuild hope by providing immediate support to people in urgent need.
When disaster strikes, it’s the Christian Aid community – fuelled by churches like yours – that steps in to respond. But we can only do that with your support. The Emergency Fund enables us to act without delay, offering vital help to families facing crisis.
By pledging a monthly gift, your church can help ensure we’re always ready to respond swiftly and compassionately, whenever and wherever we’re needed.

Motivated by God’s love we stand in solidarity with our global neighbours to create change for good. Together we can provide aid and hope.
Christian Aid has created a special Emergency Fund to ensure that when there are emergencies that don’t make the headlines in the UK, we'll be able to respond swiftly to support families in need. The Emergency Fund also enables us to respond within hours when an emergency occurs.
We’ll provide you with three e-mail updates per year about how your gift is making a difference and a more detailed annual report on what we’ve been able to achieve together.
Reaching those in crisis
The millions of people we’ve already reached together are only a fraction of the struggling people in dire need of humanitarian support around the world today.
Conflict drove Shede and her daughter Saida (Pictured right) to a refugee settlement in South Sudan. It was a daily challenge to keep hunger and malnutrition at bay. Shede and Saida, have been supported by Christian Aid partner Smile Again Africa Development Organisation enabling her to provide food for her family.
The war in Sudan continues to push more families across the border into South Sudan, where they arrive with little more than the clothes on their backs. Your generosity will enable more families to have a chance to build a more stable, secure future.
