Rev. Prof. Dr. Jerry Pillay, General Secretary of the World Council of Churches, delivered this sermon at Christian Aid’s 80th anniversary service on 12 June 2025. Drawing on the parable of the Good Samaritan, he called on us to be God’s lifeline in a suffering world and to embody unstoppable hope through action.
